I always make my recipe by taste. What do I do?
SavorStart uses your ingredient list as a starting point for nutrition calculations and volume production costs. You must provide an accurate recipe and we will help reproduce your recipe commercially.
Do you change the recipe?
Frequently we make recommendations to help the sales or production cost of the product, but we never change the recipe without your permission. You always retain ownership and control of the recipe.
Does the recipe need to be of my own creation?
No, some of our client's best successes have been pass-me-down family favorites. You are required though to certify in writing that you have the legal right to use the recipe. Many recipes found online and in print are covered by copyright rules.
What is SavorStart's goal?
Our goal is to help you achieve high sales volumes, leading to outstanding profits.
What information do you print on the label?
SavorStart meets the same labeling requirements standards as required for all retail food sales. Nutritional information, aningredient list and a bar code is minimally required on all packages.
How do you determine the cost of ingredients?
Every recipe can be prepared at significantly lower cost when the ingredients are purchased at whole pricing and volumes. When our production experts convert your recipe to commercial volumes, they dramatically lower the cost per unit volume or weight. We often save our clients 75-90% as compared to retail pricing. Once we determine the optimal production quantity, we work with the co-packer to get the best price for the ingredients.
Can you help price my products?
We can evaluate all aspects of your products, including the costs of manufacturing, competition, and the market segment to help determine a retail price, wholesale price, and distributor price - all factoring in any commission scenarios.
What are your rates for your services?
Our rates vary depending on the type of job, length of project, and scope of services. We prefer to charge on a per-job basis so that there are no hidden fees, extra hourly charges, and unpredictable billing. We strive to make our services affordable and easy to plan for and include in your budget. Most clients who have shopped around for marketing, websites, and consulting services have found our prices to be very cost-effective.
We have marketing and consulting programs available for as little as $100 per month - some of which include unlimited email support with one of our account managers. For larger projects such as graphic design, website services, and marketing services, we have found that our rates are generally priced 10-20% lower than most food marketing, advertising, website development companies, and consulting firms.
